Visual Effects in the World of Daedalus

These past few days I’ve been shaping several visual effects using Niagara in Unreal Engine, and while there’s still plenty to polish, the results are starting to bring a smile.
Among the highlights:
-
A steam effect while Daedalus gets ready in the morning.
-
A diegetic alarm clock that screams RIIIIING!!! in giant letters.
-
And perhaps the most... "practical": a dynamic censorship system for when the character changes clothes (because yes, even in steampunk worlds, decency matters).
These FX aren’t just for show — they help reinforce the game’s humorous tone and inject personality into the world from the very first moment. Every particle, every transition is designed to make the player smile… or at least raise an eyebrow.
We’re working hard to make sure every corner of the game has a soul.
Thanks for joining us on this alchemical journey. ✨
